I believe a training provider is falsely claiming to be a registered training provider, What can I do?

VET qualifications and statements of attainment can only be issued by registered training organisations (RTO’s) registered with an industry regulator like ASQA.  An RTO will have a designated RTO Code.

CRICOS qualifications and statements of attainment can only be issued by training organisations registered for CRICOS with ASQA.  A provider registered for delivery of CRICOS Courses will have a designated CRICOS Code.

Registered training organisations are required to go through a rigorous process of registration and continuous review with Industry regulators including those providers registered with and regulated by ASQA.  This includes registration of any new courses, qualifications or units.

To find out if the provider you suspect is falsely claiming to be a registered training organisation, please review the FAQ – How do I find out if a training provider is a registered training organisation, whether they are regulated by ASQA and whether they are authorised to deliver a particular course, qualification or unit?

If you believe an organisation is falsely claiming to be an RTO you may wish to make a complaint.
